Short A CVC Interactive Word Work

After working on our secret interactive powerpoints, my students wanted more to do with secret words. I created these interactive sets to use during our word work. Under each flap, students will write the beginning sound that they hear in each word. The three letters create a secret cvc word. Students will write the word on their page.

I teach this whole group first and then put it out in centers. There are 46 short a cvc words included. I printed the sheets full page and they fit perfectly. However, if your students aren’t used to placing flaps in their notebooks, I would print slightly smaller at 80 or 85% to make sure they put it inside and won’t hang off.
