Paint, Chalk and Chevron!

Hey friends! I am so excited to be bringing you exclusive goodies from Creative Teaching Press. This year, Creative Teaching Press will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary! How exciting! What a great accomplishment to be able to provide teachers with so many varieties of classroom décor, classroom ideas, and simple teacher activities and ideas over the years.

Did you know that 50 years ago a veteran school teacher named Luella Connelly got the idea to make her creative ideas for fun and effective teaching available to other teachers? With the success of her “Recipes for Creative Writing,” Creative Teaching Press was born! Since then, generations of teachers have looked to the family-owned, teacher-managed company for the supplementary materials they need to help their students learn and make their classrooms a positive environment.

Today, I’m excited to show what I “think” I’ll be doing with my room for the 2015-2016 school year. I squealed with excitement when I found out that they now have PINK CHEVRON! YES! Their Chevron collection now has pink! This is just what I’ve been wanting ALL my life! I am still in love with the Chalk It Up! collection as well as pieces from their Painted Palette collection. With that thought in mind, I wanted to know what I could make of those three collections together.

BORDERS! Aren’t borders every teacher’s best friend and go to décor item? I love the look that the black and white borders from the Chalk It Up! collection mixed with the Chevron give. There are so many options for mixing and matching the Chalk It Up! with the Painted Palette collection. The ideas are endless! I cannot wait to play around with these this summer.

I love this border! It looks SO nice by itself.

Here's a few other combinations that I made just being excited about all these options!

As you can see, I got SO excited with so many ways to mix and match! I just had to show you all of them. There are MORE that I could have shown, but these may be my favorites!

I love how the Painted Palette Ombre Turquoise Scallops labels mix so nicely with the Chalk It Up! labels. They are actually the same size, but don't they look GREAT together?

From the Painted Palette collection, I’ve fallen in love with these lime green products. There is something that is SO nice about their lime green. It goes so well with the Chalk It Up! collection!

The Chalk It Up! collection also has these that I'm drooling over! Library pockets, chalk pencils, and extremely cute nameplates! Can't you just see a matching color paint pen or chalk marker writing over the nameplates? SO cute!

Mixing and matching has never looked so fab! Who would have thought that three collections could mesh so well. Be sure to check out the entire 2015 Catalog for Creative Teaching Press to see what goodies you could WIN! That's right! I'm giving away $50 to Creative Teaching Press! You can win $50 to decorate your fall classroom with the help of CTP! Get started and enter below!

Hope over to Leslie Ann to see what her favorites are and ENTER to win from her as well!

Weekly Summer Link Up - My Goals for the Summer

Hey friends! I'm linking up with Monica from I Heart Grade 3 for a summer linky!
I'm talking summer goals... so here goes!

Goal 1: Create TPT things and things for my classroom

My todo list for things to do is SO long. I have so many classroom decor sets that I need to finish up. It's kind of sad. I've also decided that I want my kiddos word work center and math workshops to pretty much be the same style for the entire year. HUGE task. I also am finishing up a huge task for my whole team. We decided that we wanted to have themed readers for the entire year on different levels with our sight words that we're covering. YAY! I got the task of making all of them. I have two units finished, but that's it.

Goal 2: My sister's wedding
So. My sister decided about 2 months ago that she was going to get married. In August. She also decided that she does not want a wedding planner. Sooooo I've gotten the task of doing a bunch of her stuff. YAY me again.

Goal 3: Vegas
VEGAS BABY! This isn't really a goal, but I'm so excited to be going for the second year in a row. I cannot wait to see so many of my friends that I've never met before. I'm going to I Teach K again (fingers crossed) and then I'm going to the TPT conference. I'm rooming with 3 of my Elementary Entourage peeps Diana, Jessica, and my BOO Melissa who I CANNOT wait to meet.

Goal 4: Update products
Again, I have so many products that I need to update. The first on my todo list is my back to school resource, Make Way for Kindergarteners. EEK! I cringe looking at it and it will be done before school rolls back around.

Goal 5: Finish my clip art/product binder
I own Ashley Schroeder's blogging binder/what do you own bundle. LOVE! I own SO many different clipart packs that I need to have them sorted out. I've owned this for SO long and started on putting all of it together a while back. Over Christmas break, I really sat down and started on the clipart portion. I own WAY too much! My goal this summer is to get all of it together and done. My goal is to print off all of the full pages and add them to the binder. As I buy clipart/products, I'll add those in and print the pages as they fill up.

Goal 6: Beach and Netflix
I am staying at home this summer and not heading up north to hang with my family all summer. This means, I can go to the BEACH as much as I want this summer! I live less than 45 minutes from the beach and this summer I'm claiming it as MINE! I hate tanning, but love the beach. Does that make any sense at all? I want to bring my computer to the beach and create and NETFLIX! One of my teacher friends has gotten me addicted to American Horror Story. I finished the first season in like a week and just started the second season. It is CRAZY. I am such a scaredy cat, but for whatever reason I really like this show. Hopefully, I find some more good shows to netflix.

What do you have planned for the summer?
