A post... wowzers! Five for Friday and I'm on FB!

Sigh... the last time I posted was 3 weeks ago for Five for Friday lol. ANYHOO! I am so excited that I started a FB page for my blog. I think that will help me to blog more and post more of the random things I make for my kids that NEVER get posted. Click either image below to go to my NEW and beautiful FB page (looks like my blog lol). I have an 80 page October pack available - UP FOR GRABS! Be sure to go over and like to get it. It's on sale over at TPT, but why pay when you can get it for FREE!

Now for my randomness to begin! I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday.

We have been practicing with patterns and I thought it was very cool that one of my babies made an ABCD pattern without me actually introducing it. I randomly started talking about it without saying "a pattern" before I actually started teaching it and they become OBSESSED. Now they want to line up in a pattern, sit in a pattern, leave the restroom in a pattern. Any and EVERYTHING is pattern-ized now. BTW, his picture is on my phone and it's currently updating to SOMETHING (iPhones.......)

We started discussing pumpkins yesterday and I made these anchor charts that I saw on PINTEREST. LOVE! We got around to a few of them today. They filled in the blanks on their own (after we talked through it, but they came up with the words) and I just called on a very quiet person. They LOVED this! The middle one we added words to describe it, but didn't quite finish. The last came from Deanna Jump's Pumpkin Palooza pack. We will do that one Monday when we open the pumpkin up.

Wednesday, I had a wonderful parent come in to spray paint my Halloween candy cans for me. After she finished, they chose to either add ghost eyes, a spider, or to make their can a jack-o-lantern. I let them stick on some fun Halloween and fall stickers after the paint dried. Super fun!

Today was PINK out for Cancer day (pink shirts).

We used our five senses to describe the pumpkins. First, we got really quiet and listened. I took pics of them sniffing and touching. The sniffing was HILARIOUS. They thought one of the pumpkins smelled like pepper and a fifth grader came in my room and I asked one and she said PEPPER too. Crazy noses kids' have I tell ya.

I listened to my first Audible book - I have been missing OUT. I went home over the weekend and started the book. It was only a four hour drive up there, but I finished listening to it during PE, after school working, on my way home. Seriously, best way to read a book when I'm busy - without READING. I just heard about ebooks that can be checked out (online) through your local library. I've got to get a library card down here and get on that. Overdrive Media I think it was called...

ANYHOO have a FAB weekend. It's finally feeling like FALL down south.
